Omega-3 Fish Oil Benefits Joint Pain.

Omega-3 fish oil benefits are well known, however, I would like to take a minute of your time to talk about how fish oil can reduce painful inflammation associated with joint pain.

In the most recent scientific studies, Omega-3 fish oils have demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing inflammatory conditions throughout the body.

For painful joints, inflammation and redness are often hallmarks of arthritic and sore knees, elbows, fingers and more.

In traditional Chinese Medicine, aspects of joint pain can involve "stuck" energy in the areas of joint swelling, as well as the presence of hot, red skin and "internal heat" that effects the joint.

Fish oil has a slightly thinning effect on the blood, and in this sense, helps to invigorate circulation, flushing out joint capsules and soothing swollen tissue. Since fish oil also reduces inflammation, areas surrounding swollen joints have less swelling, and create more room for the joint to move.

As mobility increases, more fluids are pushed through the joint, bringing in vital nutrients to support joint health. In a sense, by decreasing inflammation, you open the flow of blood and nutrients to the joint and connective tissue, and give it a much needed "drink"of vital nutrients.

There is a big, complicated flow chart about how Omega-3 fish oils effect the prostaglandin levels in the body, carrying out similar effects in your system as do certain drugs, such as aspirin and COX-2 pain medications...which reduce joint pain and inflammation.

But, I will save that chart for another day.

Just know that Omega-3 fish oil calms inflammation, soothes sore joints and promotes joint health. And, for a later date, I'll talk about fish oil's additional benefits to your good health.

Thank you for writing this article on Omega-3 fish oil. This article is very appropriate for me to read tonight as I sit here with a heating pad on my sore knees. I have been doing a lot of gardening lately and kneeling on the moist soil must have been the cause. I'll be off to get some of that oil tomorrow to see if it helps. Thanks again.
